The Medal tee box on this testing hole is completely
surrounded by gorse and thicket. It is a daunting experience standing on the third tee
box. In early spring, the front of the tee box gathers a considerable amount of casual
water. It may be considered a casual lake. Many balls can be seen at the bottom in late
spring. Assuming you make it over the hazard, a good drive will set you up for a birdy
opportunity as your second shot will most likely be a wedge. For the big hitters, this
hole can give an eagle opportunity as this green is driveable for the big straight
hitters.
Dont be wayward on this hole. Out of bounds are all the way down the left and those
trees we mentioned (on the second) also help to hamper the wayward drives on the third.
The green on this hole is almost completely surrounded by bunkers. Some have been newly
developed and other are going to be developed over the coming year. The bunker in front of
this green is particularly deep and troublesome. The green itself is full of it's own
surprises.
