The sixth tee is cosseted among trees, shrubs and lateral
water hazards. This narrow runway to the fairway has captured many balls and has gotten
into many golfers heads. You must be straight! Anything else and your in a hazard.Your
approach shot is hampered by an elevated area short of the green ~ my advice is to go
longer than you think. In addition, the elevated platform is guarded by two bunkers which
span the width of the fairway.
The green on the sixth is on two levels and you guessed it, the favoured pin position
is right on the break between the two levels. When walking down the fourth, many members
take a careful note of the pin position on the sixth green ~ it has saved them many shots.
